A unique landmark that is located by the old harbor in Reykjavik, Harpan is a concert hall and conference center that was designed by the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. The design of the building was influenced by Icelandic nature and the vibrant life of the city. Its the home of the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and has been since 2011. Harpa has four halls, the largest is Eldborg also known as, “The Heart of The Harpa” its a 1800 seated atrium that has first class conditions. EPAL which is located inside Harpa, is a lovely home furnishing shop that sells various house hold things for your home, they also have catering services and parking spaces. I’ve been to a couple of concerts in Eldborg and to be completely honest it’s rather amazing to say the least, I highly recommend going to a concert at Harpa, fantastic experience!
